unBelief.org - Privacy Statement

At unBelief.org we understand that your privacy is important and we are committed to the protection of personal information.

Site visit data

As with any website, our web server makes a standard record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes - the user's server address, the user's top level domain name (e.g. .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc.), the date and time of the visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, and the type of browser used. We do not use this information for any purpose other than to assess interest in various topics for the purpose of improving the information presented.

E-mail management

We will only record your E-mail address or other personal details if you send us a message. This information will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and you will not be added to our mailing list unless you request it. We will not use your E-mail address or personal details for any other purpose, and will not disclose it to any third party.

Publication of contact information

Although we may research and publish information about groups whose opinions are at odds with ours, we will not publish personal contact information other than a publicly available street address and website. We do not publish phone numbers or E-mail addresses of these organisations, although this information may be available on the organisation's website.

Forum subscribers

If you wish to contribute to our forum, we require that you provide your email address so that a confirmation message can be sent to you, and so that the forum software can notify you about messages left for you. This is common practice in discussion forums and is necessary to prevent abuse of the forum by anonymous spammers. Your email address is not visible to anyone except the forum administrator, unless you explicity allow it to be displayed to other forum members when you register (which we do not recommend). Your email address will not be used for any other purpose and will not be disclosed to any other party.
